Graduation is back on but safety first

Since 1992, Campus Clothing has been producing graduation merchandise for students up and down the UK. We grew from selling t-shirts at one University to providing a range of different products to more than 150 universities.
When the pandemic hit, and lockdown took hold, graduation ceremonies were cancelled. Attending these joyous events are our lifeblood and what we work for all year round. To say it was disappointing not to be able to attend graduations and see the happy faces of students and their families, is an understatement.
So, to be attending our first live graduation events next week is something we are extremely excited about. Our first event will be at Roehampton University, followed by Arts University Bournemouth and then Loughborough University.
We are relishing the opportunity to be on campus again, setting up our stands and helping the class of 2020/2021 pick out and choose what graduation memorabilia they will take away to mark their special day.
We fully understand and appreciate the need for safety at these events. Many people may be nervous about attending them, so we have worked closely with each university and will put in various measures to allow students and their families to shop with us in a safe way. These include:
- Screens to section off parts of our stand
- Hand sanitisers available to all customers
- A one-way queuing system
- Our staff will be wearing face coverings where necessary even after the 19th July.
- People won’t be able to try items on to allow us to accept returns
We have also a comprehensive risk assessment in place.
Not all our clients are able to hold live graduation events this year, which is understandable. We are still providing graduation merchandise to these students in a variety of ways and we are thrilled to hear that they are loving their items when they get them.
The past 16 months have been a long and difficult road, but we can see light at the end of the tunnel. Everyone at Campus Clothing is excited to be able to return to graduation events and be around happy people, enjoying the completion of a shared goal. The clinking of glasses, murmur of conversation and talk of a brighter future, is something really special to be a part of.
